Opening reception – Groundswell: Gender, Power & The Body Politic

Join us for an opening reception. Free & open to the public. Betsy DiJulio, Knox Garvin & Anne Bousquet present diverse male & female perspectives in response to the “Me Too” movement through metaphor, symbolism & narrative. Betsy DiJulio combines objects, symbols, patterns & references to popular culture to create physically & conceptually layered metaphorical compositions. Knox Garvin’s evocative & open-ended research-based work incorporates found objects with photographs. Anne Bousquet’s conceptual, mixed-media work frequently incorporates a narrative & addresses issues important to her & universally understood. Exhibition on view through November 29, 2019. The Offsite Gallery is located on the 2nd Floor, Suite #287 @ MacArthur Center.
