“AFROTRICITY, Color Rapping” a solo exhibition by Clyde Santana
Join us as we welcome local multimedia, interdisciplinary artist
Santana began his art career by completing 23 mural projects in Massachusetts, New York and New Jersey.
An Adjunct Professor at Norfolk State University since 2016, he has led his students in the design and creation of 14 mural projects in Norfolk, VA.
Santana also teaches drama and playwriting courses at NSU. He founded the Attucks Writers Workshop in 2009 which in 2017, became what is now, The Zeiders American Dream Theater Playwriters Lab, where he currently teaches.
For the past 30 years, Clyde co-authored stage plays for community children’s theaters with his wife, the late Gail Davis. Clyde also teaches playwriters workshops at Bushfire Theater of Performing Arts when needed.
Santana graduated from Springfield College with a Bachelor of Science, Art in Urban Life/Arts Education and received a Master of Fine Arts in Studio Arts from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.
