Re: Soul Serenade images:
“The genesis prompting for me were images I saw in a film as a youngster. “Imitation of Life”, It introduced me to a world of contradiction, bias and contempt. I grew up as an introvert, I stood on the sideline and observed life. From this vantage point, I dedicated significant time and experimentation to various techniques and mediums. This hands-on exploration allows me to push the boundaries between two-dimensional collaborations I refer to as (pop-out realism). My work explores the union between design and fugitive narratives. I admired the concept of Piet Mondrian, who was a Dutch abstract painter whose style developed into simple geometric elements of line and spaces. In my work, I use simple geometric shapes to structure the page and combine them with visual narratives around a central theme. Using geometric spaces to explore textures, patterns, and color, I invite viewers to pause, reflect, and find meaning in the social issues of the day. Each work is an attempt to translate emotions related to the contradictions in the pursuit of living.”
“I am an artist that enjoys producing works in mixed media, however I produce sculptures, drawings, and paintings with a flair and unique insight. My works are people oriented, and deal with moods and experimentation with colors that interprets the inner emotions representing a kaleidoscope feeling.”
