Grants

The Norfolk Commission on the Arts and Humanities awards grants to not-for-profit organizations that benefit the citizens of Norfolk.
On April 21, the City Manager presented the proposed budget proposal to City Council. There is a projected $40 million shortfall for next fiscal year. In order to preserve core services, much spending must be postponed or cut.

At the request of city management, the grant applications to the Norfolk Commission on the Arts and Humanities for FY21 will not be reviewed at this time and no funds will be distributed.

We are looking at new partnership opportunities and different methods of showcasing the creative community and will post updates here.

Please call Debra Burrell, Arts Manager, at 757-664-4330 or email artscommission@norfolk.gov with any questions.
