Jason Akira Somma, a Virginia Beach, VA native, is a practicing analog-digital artist and choreographer.
“My work is a rigorous investigation into how we experience, process, and participate in the cultural systems that surround us. Having been called a ‘pioneer of glitch art’ my practice is jointly rooted in an assay of holography, hacking, social platform building, and architectural intervention. I often utilize techniques that make the unseen perceivable via various technology and scientific methods that innately bring an awareness to the spectator themselves. I believe art to be the space between science and spirituality.”
