A call to local artists resulted in a list of qualified individuals being identified who will have an opportunity to submit ideas for a variety of projects being planned for several locations throughout this new development over the next few years.
Specifically, several mural artists submitted for this artist pool. A retaining wall was identified as the perfect location for a mosaic mural. Local artist Poetry Jackson was selected and will be working with a mosaic fabricator in 2025.
A call to mosaic fabricators will be released soon. The fabricator will:
• Work with Poetry Jackson, who will design artwork approximately 200’ long x 2’ wide to translate into a mosaic mural.
• Advise and collaborate with Jackson to select appropriate tile material and colors.
The Contractor will provide all labor, equipment, tools and materials to provide the following services:
• Cut and lay out the tiles according to artist’s design.
• Prepare wall, priming if necessary.
• Transfer tiles, adhere, place, grout, and seal tiles to wall.
• Provide two year warranty of craftsmanship of artwork and installation.
