“By using carefully chosen colors and compositions, I tell a story with a single image; inviting the viewer to see the world through the eyes of a child again. Whether traveling by foot, bicycle, or car; no matter a person’s background or the color of their skin, we were all children once. It’s a bond that we all share as humans. In these days and times, imagination is more important than ever. My art creates space for the imagination to be set free; transporting the viewer to different worlds as if they were a child again, jumping into storybooks.

My style of art is inspired by my younger self who grew up lost in stories. Whether they took the form of books, or movies; I loved them all, but the characters rarely looked like me. Now, as a multicultural artist, I feel that representation is important, so that any little girl can see herself in my drawings.”
