JAZZ GOT LOOSE Featured Artist October 2026
As a photographer, it was easy for me to become routine and predictable. I would go out and shoot only in ideal weather conditions, only to return with similar shots I have taken before. Since then, I have evolved and discovered that bad weather can make great pictures and patience is paramount. Now I am very comfortable at being uncomfortable.
I seem to gravitate to lines, vanishing points and perspectives. It gives me that going down the road feeling. When I come across an interesting composition, it has an immediate visual and emotional connection with me.
Most of my inspiration comes from old black and white movies, local newspaper photojournalists, National Geographic photographers and the works of Gordon Parks.

This photograph depicts the power and connection of the musician to his music. The reflections of the 60’s era when the piano was one of the key instruments used in clubs and party venues. This photograph was inspired by the music of Thelonious Monk, Duke Ellington and Herbie Hancock. Using a dark background and lights emphasize the live performances.
