I create expressive multimedia paintings, live onsite and from my Chicago studio, exploring storytelling, heritage, brands, love, tenderness, dreams and transformation.

My work moves between intimate figures and luminous color in real and imagined worlds. I often draw from moments, people and ideas that shape who we are and what we carry forward. I’m interested in the stories that live beneath the surface: personal histories, cultural memory, relationships, aspirations, triumph and the quiet moments that can hold meaning long after they have passed.

Whether painting live among the energy of an event, developing a commissioned piece from photographs and conversation or creating independently in the studio, I approach each work as both an artist and storyteller. Some paintings preserve a meaningful moment. Others reimagine one, combining memory, symbolism and imagination to create something that may never have existed exactly as painted, but feels true to the life of the story.

My background in fine art, advertising and creative direction also informs how I think about brands and organizations. I’m interested in how art can give visual form to a shared history, business idea or experience while creating an emotional connection that traditional communication sometimes cannot.

Ultimately, my work seeks to expand how we think about legacy. It can be inherited, created, questioned, celebrated or transformed. But legacy is also shaped by the impact we make while we are here. Through my work, I explore the people, places, experiences and dreams that become part of the stories we leave behind.

Impact is what happens now. Legacy is what remains.

20″ x 14″ – Mixed Media – The instrument functions as both an object and an extension of self, giving the work a powerful metaphor for legacy. What endures here is his influence, carried in the echo of performance, the weight of cultural memory and the dignity of lasting impact. By naming the guitar Lucille, the painting acknowledges the instrument as something beloved and larger than utility, almost equal in stature to the man who played it. In this way, the work becomes less about depicting a figure than preserving the atmosphere he creates and the inheritance he leaves behind.
