JAZZ GOT LOOSE Featured artist October 2026 The Gallery at the Attucks
“I make high-contrast, black-and-white striped paintings and sculptures that screw with your eyes. I build 3D models first so I can control every angle, but at the core, it’s all inspired by dazzle camouflage and zebra herds. I’ve always been fascinated by how a person can fade into a crowd or stand out completely, so I use those disruptive stripes as a kind of shield—a way to see if you can find safety in plain sight, or if you’re actually totally exposed. I want people to stand in front of a piece, feel the depth push back at them, and pause for a second to figure out what’s real and what’s an illusion.”
