Image is a mixed media painting by Desiree. “Mokka” was the final project completed during an apprenticeship at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art.

“I’m a mixed-media artist based in Chesapeake, VA. I’m versatile in traditional mediums (acrylic paint, colored pencil, pens, etc) and digital media (digital art and animation). Most of my work is character-focused. I create new characters or capture the personality and charm of people in my portrait paintings. I utilize vibrant and warm colors in my pieces. I believe in art that is fun, positive, and brings joy to others.”
