“Jazz does not ask permission to move. Neither does abstraction.
My work begins with structure, but the surface is allowed to change through instinct, interruption, layering, and response.
Marks are added, removed, pushed, scraped, and rebuilt until rhythm begins to emerge.
Like jazz, the work lives between discipline and freedom. It is not meant to illustrate music, but to capture its energy — improvisation, tension, resilience, individuality, and the courage to move beyond what is expected.
As a former commercial Interior Designer for 28 years ,creating office environments within various markets of the United states and Internationally. This has shaped a deep understanding of scale, material, spatial relationships and atmosphere.
Having lost vision in one eye during early childhood my practice is rooted in energy, intuition and feeling, reflecting that –

A Geometric Abstract project , Inspired while visiting the Alexandria Castle -Citadel of Qaitbay. Viewing the ancient huge doors that resembled strength ,restraint and power of presence.
Layered in texture, shadow and repetition.
Designed to work with natural Sunlight , the Domes cast shadows according to the time of day, Early morning – afternoon , pending the collectors wall installation.
