With a background in civics and law, Ilana Spector brings a multidisciplinary approach to creating public artwork. She studied government and diplomacy, attending London School of Economics and graduated from Georgetown University before attending UCLA School of Law. After employment at several international firms, she founded one of southern California’s pioneer solar electric companies, working with clients and governmental organizations in many capacities.

Ms. Spector joined Mr. Grieve in 2006 to complete unique award-winning public sculpture, collaborating with governmental agencies, universities, non-profit organizations and stakeholders, generating concepts for and implementing public art projects. She studied drawing and painting at the College of Marin, curated art globally, holds a welding certification and lectures on the role of distinction in public art.
