Public art: Cementiscope in the NEON District

Joan Biddle was born and raised in Herndon Virginia. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from VCU in Richmond, Virginia in 2012. Her favorite forms of art making are glassblowing and baking. She favors creating simple glass forms with refined lines, in contrast to her love for decadent, sprinkle covered cakes. Joan was part of the team “Glassatorium” who created a public art project through the Norfolk Public Art program for the NEON District titled “Cementiscope”.
