“I create because I have to. Photography started as a way to hold onto memories after losing my grandmother, but it grew into something much bigger, a need to capture people as they really are. For me, it’s never been about chasing perfection. It’s about presence. I’m drawn to those in-between moments where style, energy, and body language tell the story all on their own.
I’m not here to make people look like something they’re not. I’m here to show them the version of themselves they don’t always see: the quirks, the confidence, the unspoken things that make them unforgettable. Projects like U.R.U. and Where the Face Isn’t live in that space: celebrating individuality, identity, and all the ways beauty shows up without needing a filter or a facade.
This journey hasn’t been smooth. I’ve lost jobs, friends, and a certain sense of comfort along the way. But it’s also given me community, freedom, and a deeper purpose. Every photo I take feels like a collaboration, a moment of trust where we create something real together.
At the end of the day, my work is about truth. Truth in Blackness, truth in individuality, truth in how we show up in the world. Beauty isn’t just about faces, it’s about the energy, the soul, and the story you bring into the frame. That’s what I aim to capture every time I pick up my camera.”
