I have always been fascinated with color and texture and inspired by all the beauty that surrounds me everyday. I found my creative outlet in interior design years ago and then started to create art, primarily using collage. In 2008, I attended an encaustic workshop and have been hooked on the process ever since.
I love the way the wax feels and smells, the versatility of it, layering and carving back, and the luminosity of the finished pieces. I sometimes start with an end in mind but many times just let the process and my intuition take over and let the wax do what it wishes.
