The Gallery at the Attucks through 10/16/26 “Rhythm of the Stage”
“Utilizing mixed media and printmaking techniques, I explore abstract emotional experiences, such as grief, growth, and peace. My works frequently include natural and gothic elements as visual metaphor for these common yet complex emotions, drawing on my personal struggles putting my emotions to words. My goal is to create works that give viewers a window to consider emotional experiences they may have had to wrestle with in the past while giving a visual metaphor to the viewers who haven’t had those experiences.”
Noel Harris is a Suffolk, Virginia artist working in Mixed Media and Printmaking. Their current work focuses on exploring emotional experiences through the use of natural and gothic design elements. Noel has previously exhibited their work at the Gasparilla Festival of the Arts in Tampa, Florida. They are currently beginning a new series of Mixed Media works exploring reflecting on the impact artificial intelligence has had on the relationship between humans and technology.
