Norfolk Arts is a proud recipient of a $20,000 National Endowment for the Arts Grant which is supporting a series of interactive seminars for the arts and culture sector that includes current and former Norfolk Arts grantees. The outcome of the seminars will result in public performances to connect, break bread, and program collaboratively in 2024!
The National Endowment for the Arts announced more than $103 million in recommended grants in the second major grant announcement of fiscal year 2023. Organizations in all 50 states and U.S. jurisdictions will carry out arts projects in three NEA funding categories: Grants for Arts Projects, Our Town, and State and Regional Partnerships.
“Polyphonic Culture” with Norfolk, VA local, Patrick Mullins in the lead as Creative Facilitator has gathered twice at the Attucks Theatre in Norfolk, VA. Norfolk Arts and these cultural organizations embrace the goals of diversity, equity, and inclusion, knowing that the arts can be the perfect catalyst for understanding and celebrating cultural differences. “Polyphonic Culture” is a simultaneous combination of voices using the arts to create genuine inclusion.
