A call to local artists resulted in a list of qualified individuals being identified who will have an opportunity to submit ideas for a variety of projects being planned for several locations throughout the new St. Pau’s Transformation Project over the next few years.

Specifically, several mural artists submitted for this artist pool. A retaining wall (pproximately 200’ long x 2’ wide ) was identified as the perfect location for a mosaic mural. Artist Poetry Jackson was selected.

An example of Poetry’s artwork is pictured above.

Poetry Jackson, will design the artwork and translate it into a mosaic mural with careful selection of appropriate tile material and colors. She will then work with a Virginia licensed contractor to provide all labor, equipment, tools and materials to include:
Cut and lay the tiles according to her design.
Prepare the wall and prime if necessary.
Transfer the tiles, adhere in place, grout, and seal the tiles.
Provide a two year warranty of craftsmanship of artwork and installation.
