Through June 26, 2026 Offsite Gallery “When There Are Nine” A group exhibition coordinated by Rowena Federico Finn

Beth Dryer (she/y’all) is a multidisciplinary artist living and working in Norfolk, VA. Beth hates waste of any kind and strives to buy nothing new. Upcycled materials and found objects are featured heavily in her work. She explores ideas of existing as a woman, motherhood and femininity through assemblage, mixed media and fiber arts. When she isn’t creating art you can find her in the garden with her cat.

Miscarriage explores the artist’s complex feelings surrounding RBG and her legacy. While Ruth Bader Ginsburg was, in fact, a trailblazing feminist icon with incredible style, her reluctance to retire helped usher in a Supreme Court that has proven to be the most conservative in history. It isn’t enough to simply have women on the bench if those women do not stand up for the rights of women. This piece speaks to the backslide of women’s rights and the lack of choice presented to young women in our country since RBG’s death.
