Sprocket Mural Works is seeking local and national artists to join us in creating murals in the Hall Manor neighborhood of Harrisburg, PA!
In partnership with the Harrisburg Housing Authority (HHA) and the South Harrisburg Choice Neighborhood Plan, we are excited to launch this Early Action project and bring stunning community murals to life in Spring 2025!
We have joyfully engaged with the Hall Manor community to understand the types of art and murals they would love to see in their neighborhood. The most requested themes include celebrations of inspirational people. Nature/animals was a close second, followed by cultural diversity. We also asked the community how they would like to feel when viewing the murals. Their overwhelming response was “happiness” followed by excitement, hopefulness and inspiration. We are seeking artists whose portfolios embody these themes. Our goal is to foster connections while celebrating and uplifting the residents of Hall Manor. We hope to honor the diverse cultures within the community and emphasize a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Artist applications are due by 11:59pm Eastern time on Monday, January 13, 2025. All applications must contain a link to your portfolio (website or PDF file). We only accept artist applicants living within the United States at this time. Artists will be notified of their acceptance on a rolling basis starting in February 2025.
