Mark Harmon is an African-American multimedia artist from Portsmouth, Virginia. The son of a photographer and fine art graduate, it’s no wonder how he gravitated to art at such a young age. He would gain experience in photo editing and graphic design while attending what was then Woodrow Wilson High School. It was at Tidewater Community College where Mark and photography would be formally introduced. He would go on to take a deep interest in photography. It wasn’t long until he would dabble into videography as well. He now attends Norfolk State University pursuing a bachelor’s in fine arts with a concentration in photography.
