Virginia Van Horn is a local artist and instructor of the Visual Arts Program at the Governor’s School for the Arts in Norfolk, VA. Virginia received a BFA in printmaking from UNC, Chapel Hill and an MFA in Sculpture through an ODU/Norfolk State University joint program. Virginia completed post-graduate work at the School of Visual Arts in Urbino, Italy. Virginia’s series of large-scale sculptures combine with animal images, human artifacts and found furniture. Large mixed-media sculptures are accompanied by paper relief sculptures illuminated by neon.
