The HR Jazz (Hampton Roads Jazz Incorporated) lecture series will kick off February 6th at the Hampton Museum with Professor Wayne Winborne. Admission is free. Wayne oversees the Institute of Jazz Studies at Rutgers University.

The Institute of Jazz Studies archives program collects, preserves, and provides access to jazz and its heritage to the world for research, creative expression, and enjoyment. The Institute’s archives include unique and unpublished materials with enduring value created and/or compiled by people and organizations related to jazz culture. It’s the largest of its kind in the world.
