Norfolk Arts seeks original artwork from five local artists to promote on Adams Outdoor Advertising Norfolk billboards for up to one year.
Budget: $500 per artwork.

Open to artists over 18 years of age residing in the Adams Outdoor Norfolk regional coverage area to include Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Suffolk, Hampton, Newport News, York County, Isle of Wight and Moyock, NC. No exceptions.

Due to extreme width requirement, each billboard submission (up to 3 entries per artist) may include more than one artwork formatted as a diptych or triptych. All artwork styles and disciplines will be considered. Previously selected artists are not eligible for three years.

No text or QR codes may be used in any part of the artwork. Norfolk Arts will consider the diversity of beliefs and values and general standards of decency of the citizens of the City of Norfolk. We retain the right to refuse entry of artwork at our sole discretion.

The most effective images will be visible immediately and from a distance. Awards will be based on factors such as aesthetic value, creativity and contemporary relevance.

Submit the following by midnight, June 23, 2023 via Entry Thingy below:
Up to 3 JPEG or PNG images (formatted as a diptych or triptych if your submission incorporates more than 1 artwork).
Maximum file size: 5mb
Minimum file size: 100kb
Minimum image width: 50px

Required information includes: Full Name, Address, Phone Number and Email address
You will be prompted to type a 100 word bio. and add a resume in the appropriate box. (Note: You can copy and paste)
You will be asked for title of artwork, material and year for each entry.

If selected you will be notified in August 2023 and will be required to provide a PDF that meets the following specifications:

Color space: CMYK
Document Size: 24″ w x 5.683″ h
