Join us as we welcome local artist, Bria Tyler for her solo exhibition at our Offsite Gallery at MacArthur Center Friday, May 17, 5-7pm. Free and open to the public. On view through July 12, 2024.
Bria Tyler is a Virginia-based artist who draws inspiration from Victorian influence and Black culture in her multidisciplinary works. This exhibition showcases the beauty and diversity of black hair, celebrating it as an expression of self-love through a luxury experience. Tyler’s works show her respect and appreciation of black hair as an art form while also expressing her experiences of identity, culture, and self-acceptance.

Tyler’s work has been displayed in galleries and exhibitions across the country. Tyler has been a teaching artist at Virginia MOCA and the Chrysler Museum and will be graduating with a BFA in art education from Old Dominion University in 2024.
