📣Free Teen Writer Fellowship for students in Hampton Roads!
Norfolk Arts grantee, The Muse Writers Center is accepting applications from 10th and 11th grade students for their Teen Writers Fellowship, a unique mentorship program for writers in the Hampton Roads area.
Each year, eight students who are passionate about expanding the craft of their creative writing are provided the opportunity to receive one-on-one mentorship from a professionally published writer, advanced craft classes, publishing industry education, and free attendance to the Christopher Newport Writers Conference. Over the summer session, fellows learn how to submit their work through a submission to Musings, a student-led teen zine.
The Fellowship is tuition-free, but is valued at $2,350 per student for the instruction, classes, feedback, mentorship, administration fees, & supplies. It is the first of its kind in Hampton Roads, and one of the leading programs nationwide.
