Join us for the unveiling of our newest public art project “Chryshellis” by Eileen Gay.

The OV Coastal VA Plein Air Public Art planning committee selected Eileen to create a mosaic sculpture to be placed in Ocean View Beach to represent the authentic, salty integrity of OV.

The 8ft. tall sculpture, with a curved shell-like exterior, encases a porcelain and glass tile sunrise mosaic. The contemporary, forward-thinking artwork embodies the meaning and history of the area, highlights Ocean View’s uniqueness, natural beauty and great beaches and instills passion and excitement.

This is the 2nd Private Partnership match project Norfolk Arts will install. Coastal Va. Plein Air raised half of the funding for this project.
