This program features voice lessons, personalized coursework, performance opportunities, masterclasses with community artists from Virginia Opera, Virginia Chorale and Virginia Symphony Chorus and a culminating recital!
The Summer Voice Intensive at the Academy is aimed at rising sophomores in high school through sophomores in college with a love of music and singing with the goal of preparing them for the study of vocal music in college and beyond.

Boys and Girls Club of SEVA
Norfolk Arts grantee, Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Virginia offers summer camp in Norfolk, VA for Young Terrace and Grandy Village residents
When: 🗓️June 1st – August 14th, Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm
They also offer camps for all in Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Virginia Beach, Suffolk, Franklin and Accomac.
A safe, engaging, and affordable place for youth ages 5/6 through 18, clubs operate Monday through Friday with extended summer hours that vary by location, and each site offers a structured day filled with enriching activities such as daily meals, field trips, swimming, triple play, S.T.E.M., arts and crafts, college tours, technology, fine arts, sports, and more. Registration is first come, first served, and fees vary by Club, with some locations offering free programming or low-cost memberships. Families can count on a supportive environment where young people stay active, build confidence, and continue learning outside the classroom while enjoying nutritious meals each day.

Norfolk Arts grantee Shark City Drum and Dance Corps. Invites ages 4-18 to register for Summer Camp at Hugo Owens Middle School in Chesapeake, VA. Free meals provided. Transportation available for an additional fee.
