Offsite Gallery opening “What is Time” by Glennis Lofland
Join us as we welcome local photographer Glennis Lofland for her exhibition opening reception at our Offsite Gallery on the 2nd level of MacArthur Center.
“What is time?”
In 2024, Norfolk based photographer Glennis Lofland took a picture from the same location every day, for 30 days each season with the intention of engaging in nature without the constraints of time. The result is a visual representation of our physical reality that invites the viewer to slow down and embrace each changing moment.
Time governs our lives, yet time itself is merely an illusion–a concept we have constructed. While it is most often why we feel rushed, and what we never seem to have enough of, Glennis invites the viewer to consider the opposite, that time is never ending.
