2025/26 OFFSITE GALLERY CALL TO HAMPTON ROADS ARTISTS

The Offsite Gallery, a community-focused contemporary art space, is seeking proposals for upcoming exhibitions. Our mission is to highlight diverse artists and showcase innovative work that sparks conversation, attracts new audiences, and builds a strong, supportive creative community. The Offsite Gallery is dedicated to fostering inclusivity and innovation in the arts. The gallery serves as a hub for dialogue, discovery, and collaborations bringing together artists and audiences in meaningful ways.
Special consideration will be given to proposals that include a community engagement component during the exhibition or opening reception such as a hands-on workshop or artist talk.
Open to all artists 18 years or older, working in any visual media, residing in the Hampton Roads region to include Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Hampton, Virginia Beach, Newport News, and Suffolk. Proposals can be for solo, two-person, or group exhibitions. Exhibitions rotate every 6-8 weeks.
Offsite Gallery will consider the diversity of beliefs and values of the citizens of the City of Norfolk, VA.
Exhibition Schedule Draft (subject to change):
May 16 – July 11
July 18 – September 5
September 12 – November 7
November 14 – January 2
January 9 – February 27, 2026
Proposals must include:
1) Artist statement that includes your preferred dates from the Exhibition Schedule Draft above and information about the intent of your exhibition. If you have an idea for a community engagement component to your exhibition, please include it in your artist statement. Please type your artist statement into Entry Thingy under Main Profile.
2)A CV or resume. Please type this information into the resume section of Entry Thingy under Main Profile.
3) 5-10 JPEG or PNG images that accurately represent a cohesiveness of work to be exhibited. Please complete title/description/dimension/material/year for each image. You may also upload a PDF of your image key.
