Congratulations to Norfolk Arts Manager Karen Rudd!
Karen was honored with the Distinguished Service Outside the Profession award by the Virginia Art Education Association at the 2025 VAEA Conference at Hilton Norfolk THE MAIN.

For nearly 20 years, she’s led Norfolk’s Public Art Program and Arts Commission, creating opportunities for students and educators to connect with the city, public art, and creative expression while championing equity, placemaking, and support for local artists, educators, and students.

Thanks to her leadership, Norfolk’s municipal arts program is nationally recognized!
