Free Kirtan event at the Offsite Gallery, MacArthur Center
All are invited to join current exhibiting artists, Kim McCoy and Neleh Poletsky’s band, PranaMuktiBhakti to experience the uplifting energy of kirtan — a heart-opening practice of call-and-response chanting rooted in Bhakti Yoga (the yoga of devotion).
Through singing together, Kim, Neleh and band member, Liz Sanderson, create a sense of connection, community, and shared presence. Kirtan offers a space to quiet the mind and to raise your collective vibration. No musical experience is needed — just bring your voice, curiosity, and an open heart!
About the Musicians: PranaMuktiBhakti is based out of Hampton Roads, Virginia and has been offering kirtan within their community and beyond since 2015. All three members of the band take turns leading chants while the others help lead the response and play instruments. Kim McCoy plays bass, harmonium and ambient sound instruments. Liz Sanderson plays hand drums, harmonium and rhythm instruments. Neleh Poletsky plays ukulele, harmonium and rhythm instruments. Together they create a unique sound that inspires Divine connection and praise!
PranaMuktiBhakti music albums are available on Spotify, YouTube and Apple Music to enjoy!
The artwork of Kim McCoy and Neleh Poletsky pictured below will be on display as part of “When There Are Nine” through June 26, 2026.
